T-Mobile G2 Pictured By Engadget
The world’s #1 tech blog Engadget is posting spycam picture of what allegedly is the T-Mobile G2. Of course, there isn’t any proof but every other site is accepting it as fact – so alas. Somewhat disappointingly, it’s looks to be just an American version of the HTC Vision.

The HTC Vision was pegged to be coming to Vodafone and T-Mobile in Europe as the “HTC Desire Z” and while it had previously been spotted with T-Mobile branding, it was unclear if the HTC Vision would make an appearance in the ‘States. It’s packing a 3.7-inch screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
First impressions of the phone – it looks super-thin, more thin than other QWERTY slider smartphones out there (I’m holding the Droid 2 right now for a review – shameless plug, look for the review today). It would be interesting to see exactly how thin the phone is, even when compared to non-keyboard devices like the EVO 4G or Droid X.
Remember that this phone is supposed to be the first phone with native support for T-Mobile US’s superfast HSPA+ network. Remember that T-Mobile US is going with their 3.5G HSPA+ network instead of rushing to build a 4G network like Sprint and Verizon.
Do you think this is the G2? Are you happy with it? Will you be picking one up? Sound off in our comments section.
