BlackBerry Bold R020 Specs Revealed & Tipped For October Release
The details of the next BlackBerry Bold have recently been leaked. The device comes with the label of Bold R020 and will be the successor to the Bold 9700. Sounds like good news, a new Bold to look forward to.

Unfortunately, the Bold R020 is not expected to come available until October 2010, which means we still have a few months to wait. But perhaps a little more important, the Bold R020 is more of a simple refresh than a new device. That said, the few changes that are mentioned do seem nice, albeit one of which seems like a given.
Lets start with the given, the BlackBerry Bold R020 is going to launch with BlackBerry 6. And if nothing else, at least you will be able to purchase a BlackBerry with the latest version of the operating system as opposed to waiting for the update to pass through and be rolled out by the carrier.
The other changes that we will see from the Bold 9700 to the Bold R020 include a 5 megapixel camera and 512MB of user memory. And for those not as familiar with the Bold 9700, that handset currently sports a 3.2 megapixel camera and 256MB of user memory.

Other specs of the BlackBerry Bold R020 include a 2.4 inch (480 x 360) display, 624MHz processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, microUSB, 1500mAh battery, dedicated media keys and an optical trackpad.
Exterior styling comes in the form of “charcoal rails” and a leather accent on the battery door. Furthermore, the R020 will be available in charcoal and white, though the white model will only be available with a camera.
Lastly, as with other BlackBerry models, there will be a second version of the Bold R020 available that ships without the camera. And to further the specs for the camera on the R020, aside from being 5 megapixel it will also have an LED flash, 2x digital zoom and autofocus.
