Thermaltake Makes a Computer Fan For You

The USB Powered Fan System is a Computer Fan For Your Desktop

Normally when you think of products from Thermaltake, you think of computer fans. And as we all know, computer fans are one of the most important (and hard to clean) parts of our computers. But they’ve taken their design to the next level by offering a computer fan for the operator.

Enter the Thermaltake Mobile Fan 12, a USB powered computer fan that’s designed for external use, cooling the operator instead of the computer. It sells for $25, plugs into a USB port, and puts out wind at either an 825 RPM setting or crank it all the way up to 1500 RPM. The strangest part is, it really is a computer fan that’s just been put in a wire casing for external use. If you had one of these, you would be cooled by the exact same kind of fan that cools your computer’s processor and such.

Word is that these fans do an excellent job of moving air (and at 1500 RPM I’d imagine that to be the case, all right) but they have one significant drawback: they’re loud. And if you want to try cooling down with one of these, they’re actually currently available, so go get one!
