Dell Buying 3PAR for $1.13 Billion

Dell All Set to Acquire Virtual Storage Company 3PAR for $1.13 Billion

Dell has reportedly agreed to acquire virtual utility storage platform company 3PAR for an estimated $1.13 billion. 3PAR provides a virtual utility storage platform that enables customers to significantly drive down cloud computing infrastructure, storage and associated management costs.

Founded in 1999, the new acquisition should help Dell shore up its business solutions and cloud computing business concerns.

Storage has been a problem for the IT infrastructure of most companies and with the entry of 3PAR, broadened solutions should be imminent.

3PAR is a company that offers the same data storage and management space being carried by HP, Hitachi and IBM.

The board of directors from both companies have approved the terms of the acquisition. And it looks like Dell is not stopping there too.

Dell plans to maintain and invest in additional engineering and sales capability to improve their operations.

With the growing demand for improved and better IT support for businesses, the new acquisition should put Dell up to par with the complete requirements that businesses are looking for.
