Sprint Is Out Of Epic 4Gs For Pre-Orders

Judging by comments on our site and others – there’s a lot of anticipation for the Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint. It seems some folks wanted a 4G phone but specifically waited until a phone with physical keyboard was out. The Epic 4G was up for pre-order just a few days ago, but now it seems that Sprint has already sold through their inital shipment of the Epic 4G.

The Sprint website that had been offering pre-orders of the Epic 4G now reads:

The Epic 4G is available August 31. Early reservations are full, but sign up today and we’ll send you a ready-to-buy reminder.

With “early reservations” full, we’re assuming that Sprint’s initial stock of phones has been sold through – save for a few in-store for new Sprint customers. Remember how quickly the EVO 4G disappeared both on the website and in Sprint stores.

It’s not impossible to imagine that the folks at Sprint are saving a few for every retail store in order to sell them to new customers. Remember, Sprint as the carrier makes most of their money signing up new contract customers.

If you want a Samsung Epic 4G but couldn’t get your hands on a pre-order, you may want to check Sprint outlets like Radio Shack or Best Buy. We don’t know if they’re currently offering pre-orders but they may closer to the phone’s August 31st release date.
