Verizon Wireless 2010/2011 Roadmap Leaked

Leaked 2010/2011 Verizon Roadmap Reveals Motorola Droid Pro Smartphone, $59.99 Monthly Price For LTE Data & Much More

I am not one to be loyal to a wireless carrier. In most cases I am willing to pay an ETF when necessary, as long as it means I will be able to get the phone I want on another carrier. That said, after reading over this leaked Verizon Wireless roadmap, I have to say that I am happy to be a Verizon customer. And a Verizon customer that likes fast data and Android.

The details of the roadmap come by way of a BGR tipster and include plenty of goodies in terms of LTE data, LTE devices, Android 3.0, Android tablets and even more Droid branded smartphones.

Lets begin with the Droid branded smartphone, according to the details, Motorola will be releasing yet another Droid. The handset will be the Droid Pro and come sporting a 4 inch display and 1.3GHz processor. And while that is enough to get my attention, that is about where the details have stopped. As of now, word is that the Droid Pro will come available in November of 2010.

Moving on and it looks like mention was made of another Android smartphone, one that is going to sport the looks of the now older Motorola Q. Of course, older styling aside, it is said to have a full touchscreen display along with Android 2.2 and possibly Motoblur.

Now for some tablets, of which we have already learned a little bit about. Yes, I am referring to the Motorola tablet that is expected to have Android 3.0. Well, according to the latest that device is not going to ship until sometime around February of 2011. But on the positive side, it will have a 10 inch display and either a 1GHz or 1.3GHz processor along with a front-facing camera.

And last but certainly not least — LTE. According to the details in the roadmap, Novatel will be releasing a MiFi device that will come available in January or February of 2011 and it will support a maximum of 10 users at any given time. As for LTE data pricing, that is rumored to be $59.99 per month. The catch with that, as of now there has not been an mention as to how much data will be included with that pricing.

So anyone else happy to be a Verizon customer?
