Fable 3 Not To Include Kinect Gameplay At Launch
Legendary (and infamous) game designer Peter Molyneux is on the record has being a big fan of Mircosoft’s Kinect hardware. Unfortunately – he recently revealed on The Engadget Show that his upcoming anticipated action-RPG Fable 3 won’t include Kinect support at launch. Wh-wh-wh-what?

Molyneux had previously promised Kinect support for Fable 3, back when it was called Natal, way back in October of last year. Speaking during a BAFTA lecture in London, he promised motion controls for his upcoming game. But – when grilled about it during The Engadget Show, he admitted that the early motion controls included in the game weren’t really great, so they’re not including them at launch.
Mr. Molyneux spoke with Engadget sister blog Joystiq after The Engadget Show and said that Kinect content “may” be available for Fable 3 after the game comes out. Notice, he (according to Joystiq) said “may”, which isn’t a definite promise. Maybe he learned his lesson after BAFTA. Or maybe Fable 3 won’t see Kinect features.
At any rate – there’s been some discussion over how the Xbox hardcore crowd will adapt to Kinect. Fable 3, which is a pretty highly-anticipated action RPG, was supposed to be a Kinect offering for the hardcore crowd. Now that it may not have Kinect support, what does this mean for the hardcore Xbros and Microsoft Kinect?
