New Motorola Droid 2 Leaked Flyer Says Android 2.2 Froyo Is a Go
The Motorola Droid 2 is Verizon’s next hot Android device (not counting the Samsung Fascinate / Galaxy S whose launch date is still unknown) and it’s probably going to be the first Verizon device that comes with Froyo out of the box.

A new leaked flyer seems to suggest that Android 2.2 will be installed on the Motorola Droid 2, so, in just a couple of weeks, you’ll be able to purchase the next hot phone in town without worrying about Android updates.

As you can clearly see in the picture above, the leaked flyer is part of Verizon’s training materials for its employees and it’s insisting on a few major points that will certainly be pitched to consumers:
- Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box (greater multitasking abilities, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, faster overall experience)
- 3G Mobile Hotspot Capability & Web Browsing (1GHz processor loads pages 40% faster than the original Droid)
- Efficient Communication (physical keyboard and multitouch touchscreen display with Sywpe support and Voice-to-Text features)
- More Memory (8GB on-board memory, 8GB pre-installed microSD card and expandable up to 32GB)
- Advanced Social Skills (support for Facebook, MySpare and Twitter, universal inbox and detailed communication history)
That’s basically what this page of the flyer talks about, and, from what we can see so far, the Motorola Droid 2 is definitely a formidable adversary for both the iPhone 4 and the Motorola Droid X.
And just in case you were wondering, the flyer also reveals Verizon’s built-in applications for the Droid 2, so here’s what’s waiting for you once you activate the Drodi 2: 3G Mobile Hotspot, Backup Assistant, Blockbuster, City ID, My Verizon, NFL Mobile, Skype Mobile, V CAST Music, Tones & Videos, Visual Voice Mail and VZ Navigator.
So, are you going to replace your old Droid with this brand new Droid 2 version?
