JailbreakMe iPhone 4 Jailbreak Fix Already Available at Cupertino
I’m totally not surprised that Apple has managed to fix that PDF security flaw, which is believed to have been used by the iPhone Dev Team to jailbreak the iPhone 4, and all the other iOS 4 devices with JailbreakMe 2.0.

Cupertino has probably been working around the clock to address the PDF security hole that is believed to have been exploited by the iPhone Dev Team, but that could also be used by other hackers to attack iOS 4 users. The next major iOS update will probably come with this fix onboard, and once installed it will break the JailbreakMe jailbreak process. In case you don’t want to do that then you simply have to stay away from future Apple iOS upgrades at least until the iPhone Dev Team jailbreaks the next iOS version too.
Apple has officially acknowledged the PDF security issue and offered a brief statement about it:
“We’re aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.”
Of course, the whole PDF security issue is problematic, but, ironically, those of you that choose to jailbreak your iOS 4 devices can also prevent hackers from taking advantage of your phone. All you need to do to feel a little safer, is make sure you download an app from Cydia called “PDF Loading Warner” which will at least let you know that you’re about to open a PDF file. In case you don’t trust the source you can always cancel the download and thus stay a little safer. Oh, and by the way, one more thing you can do is stay away of shady websites that lure you in and then offer you PDF files or other potentially malicious attractions.

It will be interesting to see what the iPhone Dev Team will do now when it comes to iPhone 4 jailbreaking and unlocking, but, just as we’ve seen in the previous years, almost every iOS version has been successfully jailbroken so far. Have you jailbroken the iPhone 4 yet?
