Windows Phone 7 Coming To Europe In October, US In November
Up until this time, the release time frame for Windows Phone 7 has been nothing more than along the lines of in time for the holidays. Well, in a little bit of good news, we now have something a little more specific. Unfortunately it is not an exact release date, but we are getting closer, and at least we now know the months.

Yup, months, as in two. One for the European release and one for the US release. These latest details are coming by way of Microsoft COO Kevin Turner, who spilled the information during a recent presentation on Windows Phone 7.
In short, Europe will see a release in October and the US will follow a month later in November. And all things considered, it was a little surprising to see that Europe will get the goods first. But hey, it is only a month ahead. Maybe next time we will get an exact date. After all, October and November are not really all that far away at this point. Its already August, that means 3-4 months time and Windows Phone 7 should be among the available.
And recapping on the past, we are still expecting AT&T to go big, remember, they wanted to be the “premier carrier” for Windows Phone 7. Not to mention they have been rumored to have placed an order for 8 million handsets for launch. Of course, that total of handsets will likely be from a number of manufacturers considering we are expecting some from Asus, Dell, HTC, LG and Samsung.
With that, maybe its just the mobile phone geek or early adopter in me, but I am getting pretty anxious to actually see some Windows Phone 7 devices come available. Granted, its not likely that I will switch over from Android and webOS, but you never know. Of course for that to happen, Microsoft would have to have some stellar Google integration, including Google Voice and I cannot imagine that happening.
