Samsung Intensity II Gets Official, Free From Best Buy
A few days back, some leaked pictures of the upcoming Samsung Intensity II hit the web. It looked like a Best Buy Mobile employee had taken the pictures and apparently there wasn’t a tight street date on the phone as some one of our readers reported walking into a Best Buy and getting two phones, even though they weren’t out yet. Well, now it is.

It features both a numeric keypad and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. It’s got a 2.2-inch screen and a 1.3-megapixel camera with night vision. It features a microSD slot, among other features. It’s a featurephone – folks. It’s for people who like text messaging.
Verizon and Samsung have added some nice green features to this phone. 35% of the battery cover is made with recycled (post-consumer) plastic. The phone also includes some ‘apps’ for keeping track of your car fuel mileages, car efficiency and your carbon footprint.
Not really enough to call this a ‘green phone’, I suppose, but it should help anybody trying to live a greener lifestyle.
For those interested, Best Buy was selling the phone for one penny with a two year contract.
