New Apple Covent Garden Store to Open Doors on August 7 [Apple’s New Retails Store to Debut on August 7 in Covent Garden, London]

We have just recently shown you the brand new Apple Opera Store in Paris (and the Death Grip in action there) and now we’ll give some good news to Apple fans in Britain. There’s a new Apple retail store coming your way and you will find it in Covent Garden, London.

Saturday, August 7, at 10:00AM sharp, the new Covent Garden store will be opened to the public, and these details have been made official just today. This new London-based store is supposed to come in the aid of the one in Regent Street, which is apparently very popular and has to deal with long queues on a regular basis. I am sure it’s not very easy to do even for the most supportive Apple Genius, so a new store is definitely welcomed.

The new store, just around a mile from the Regent Street flagship store, is supposed to be pretty impressive too, as it will have 4 floors in total, with two of them being accessible to the general public and they will be filled with Apple’s latest products. The former courtyard of the building is now covered with a glass roof, which is something we’ve seen in Paris too but Apple worked on the whole building.

Apple restored the building in Paris, the one near the Opera where the newest French Apple store is found and we now hear the same thing has been done to this old 1877 building in Covent Garden.

It will be interesting to see how this new Apple store in London will measure up in sales against the Regent Street store, an establishment that is bringing Apple around £60 million ever year, or £2,000 per quare foot, which are some impressive numbers.

We’ll be waiting for your first impressions on this new Apple store, so, in case you’re strolling through London, remember to check it out starting with next Saturday.
