iWave's Grass Roots Collection Makes Eco-Friendly Headphones

iWave's Eco-Friendly Headphones Feature Wood-Grain Styling

Admittedly, looking at the iWave Grass Roots Collection doesn’t exactly seem like an eco-friendly project so much as it does ecological devastation on a bun. But the truth is, this line of cases and headphones is actually a pretty environmentally friendly package.

The iWave Grass Roots Collection features headphones, ear buds and iPhone cases that all seem to be made out of wood, but are actually made from both reusable and recyclable materials that are simply FINISHED in wood grain. Even the egg crate packaging the Grass Roots collection is contained in for shipment is environmentally friendly.

The wood grain finish, meanwhile, appears to be a nod to “natural beauty”, so when you’re listening to headphones that look like wood, maybe you’ll think about real trees or something.

You’ll be able to pick these up in a variety of places starting August 1st, and the headphones will cost $30, the iPhone cases $25, and the ear buds a comparatively meager $20.

WOW — just spent $20 on a pair of these and that’s all I can say. I’ve been all over the Interweb for the past month doing research; save your time and pick up a pair. I popped on UB40 – Groovin’ and was blown away. Treble isn’t anything to write home about but plenty of bass and mids — still nice depth and range of sound. Fit is very comfortable on the ears and very little sound, if any, leaks out. I’m no audiophile but I’ve worn plenty of headphones and these have skyrocketed immediately to the top of my list, at least in this price range. TJ Maxx has them along with some other in-ear models. Great buy.
