Hulu Viewers Diminishing [Comscore Reports that Hulu Has Fallen From 2 to 10 in Video Site Ranking]

From being number 2, Hulu now finds itself ranked number 10 by Comscore for video websites. It looks like the other players have now caught up with Hulu after reports bared that their number of viewers have dropped to an astonishing 45%.

Hulu was breathing down the neck of YouTube before but it looks like with the birth of other video sites, mostly choosing to host their own TV shows via their own sites and own apps.

One point that could have worked against Hulu was when they started charging for extra content. Regardless, there is no clear way to determine why Hulu subscribers recorded an astronomical drop.

But the method of measuring their supposed demise is still up for debate hence meaning it could change with other big measurement firms.

The results produced by ComScore, Nielsen and Quantcast are different, and this is largely due to the fact that they use different methods of measuring traffic.

Either way, if either Nielsen or Quantcast show the same numbers, Hulu may want to make the necessary adjustments.

Hulu just has to accept the fact that competitors and even customers have caught up with their business and have applied them on their own sites.
