BlackBerry Bold 9780 Specs & Features Revealed by New Leaked Video
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is about as real as it gets, and we’ve seen it in a video already yesterday. Today we have another video for you showing the device in action so with all these leaks in the wild we can only expect RIM to launch it at some point in the very near future.

The video we have today will confirm a couple of the specs and features of the new Bold that prove the device is fairly similar to its predecessor but it’s also pretty real. So here’s what you can expect from the BlackBerry Bold 9780, besides the obvious BlackBerry 6.0 OS:
- 624MHz Processor
- 512MB Flash RAM
- 480 x 360 resolution screen (non-touchscreen)
- full QWERTY keyboard
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
- trackpad
- GSM / HSPA connectivity
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
- Wi-Fi b/g and maybe n too
- Gun Metal Bezel (instead of old chrome bezel)
That’s basically what the 7-minute video shows us alongside a demo of the actual device in action. In case you got a Bold 9700 a year ago, or very recently, there’s no actual point to upgrade to this new Bold version, and if there is one then RIM has hidden it pretty well.
Also, as you can see, this Bold 9870 has a T-Mobile SIM card inside, but the phone is not branded for T-Mobile yet since it’s basically a prototype unit, but does come with 3G bands 1, 4 and 8 for T-Mobile. We can expect RIM to sell it in the USA both through AT&T and T-Mobile channels but we’ll still need confirmation on that. It’s too early to talk about pricing details and release dates for now and we’ll wait for RIM to make the BlackBerry 9800 official announcement in the following days to see if they mention anything about this small Bold upgrade.
