Super Talent Brings Dual Interface Portable Hard Drive [The UltraDrive MX SSD Boasts SATA and USB Connectivity]
It was all the way back in October you last heard anything about Super Talent from us, and the crew’s got something new and exciting slated for you: a big new portable solid state drive with a whole lot of connectivity options, both USB and SATA.
The Super Talent UltraDrive MX SSD may sound like a bad title for a racing video game, but what it actually is is a solid state drive that lets you use either SATA or USB to connect, meaning that it can serve as an external drive or as an internal drive.
The early word suggests that you’ll get read speeds around 250 meg per second and write speeds around 180 meg per second. Capacities will go from 60 gig clear up to 480 gig, with a couple amounts in between. Pricing data on these, sadly, is not yet available but we do have a pretty well confirmed release date–you’ll be able to get these starting September 1st.
