Nokia N8 Officially Up For Pre-Order In Italy At €469 [Nokia Puts Symbian^3 Powered N8 Handset Up For Online Pre-order For €469]

The Nokia N8 has been talked about for quite some time now with several leaks coming from various sources over the past couple of months. Luckily, we’ve been able to thoroughly examine the device thanks to all of said leaks but unfortunately we have not been able to pin a final price point or release date on the device. Just yesterday, in fact, we told you that Amazon Germany decided to pull their pre-order listing for the N8 as Nokia is still unsure when the device will actually be ready for launch.

Today, however, it was spotted that Nokia had put the N8 up for pre-order on their official Italian website for €469 which translates to about $600 USD. On the pre-order page, as you can see above, Nokia has listed the device as shipping sometime in September of this year. What’s also to be noted is that the device will be coming in a wide array of different colors that can be selected by the user prior to check out.

If you’re not familiar with the Nokia N8 it is basically Nokia’s last ditch effort at releasing a top notch smart phone that will reach widespread market penetration. This device is powered by Nokia’s Symbian^3 operating system and features some pretty palatable specs. First of all we have a 3.5-inch 640 x 360 capacitive multi touch AMOLED display, a 680MHz processor coupled with a 3D Graphics HW Accelerator, 256MB of built in RAM, a 12 megapixel camera with xenon flash capable of 720p video recording and a front facing VGA camera for video conference calls.

Additionally, the Nokia N8 features 16 GB of on-board storage with a microSD slot good for up to 32GB of additional storage. We’re also looking at HDMI out, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, an FM transmitter and a non removable 1200 mAh lithium-ion battery.

When will we see this device launch internationally, you ask? Well, your guess is as good as ours at this point.
