BlackBerry Store Opens In China [RIM Opens BB Store In China With China Mobile, Only Sells Two Models Of BlackBerry, But That Could Change]

China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, and RIM wants some of that. They’ve opened the first “BlackBerry Store” in China, located in the capital city of Beijing. It’s in partnership with China Mobile, and is located in a shopping mall in a relatively high density shopping area – so it’s expected to do well.

Right now, China Mobile only offers two (albeit, good) BlackBerry models, the 8910 and the 8310. The guys at IntoMobile suggest that if this store does good, China Mobile may offer more and more BB models to the Chinese market.

In addition to selling phones and service through China Mobile, this new store will also be selling BlackBerry accessories like cases and headphones. The BlackBerry Presenter is also rumored to be there as well.

You’ve got to wonder how well this store will do. There’s one BlackBerry Store in North America. It’s located in Michigan is basically run by another firm and licenses the BlackBerry name. Nokia had a number of swanky stores in North America but most of them are closed by now. Obviously, Apple Stores do well. Would a BlackBerry Store do good near your house? Do you want a BlackBerry Store?
