Three UK Now Offering Free Samsung Galaxy S

Android Greatness Comes To Three, Tariffs Start At £35 For Two-Years

Great news for those of you in the UK who are looking for a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S Android phone. Carrier Three is now offering the Android superphone for free. All of their tariffs go for two-years (24 months) and you get the phone for free. So, bad news for those who were looking for a prepaid plan or a low monthly plan.

They’re offering these tariffs for the Galaxy S:

  • £35 – 500 minutes – 5000 texts – 1GB data
  • £38 – 900 minutes – 5000 texts – 1GB data
  • £40 – 2000 minutes – 5000 texts – 1GB data

Really jumps up there, doesn’t it? 900 minutes to 2000 minutes? That’s Three UK’s The One plan, really something of a hoss. At any rate, this might be one of the better deals anywhere for the Galaxy S. Keep in mind that the phone has a 1GHz proccesor, 4-inch ‘Super’ OLED screen, etc. In the ‘States, the phone is even being sold unlocked for $800 (£513).

But, it’s not completely unprecedented. Vodafone offered (offers?) the Nexus One for free in the UK with a two-year deal.

Any Brits thinking about this deal? A free Galaxy S is hard to beat…
