Acer Aspire 5738PZG Notebooks For AU$ 999.00

Acer Offers the Acer Aspire 5738PZG Notebook with Touchscreen Capability But Poor Battery Life Quality

Acer offers another potential laptop for consideration with the Acer Aspire 5738PZG. This notebook boasts of a 15.6″ display whose main highlight is perhaps its touchscreen capability and a large comfortable keyboard for users.

Carrying a pretty simple and basic design, the Acer Aspire 5738PZG carries a mid-level Pentium dual-core T4400 2.2GHz chip.

This is further backed by 4GB of RAM, a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics chip and a 500GB hard drive.

As for optical media peripherals, it comes with a 4x Blu-ray/DVD SuperMulti (double layer) drive and the usual ports which include a memory card reader, four USB ports, fingerprint reader, HDMI and VGA out, RJ-11 modem and Ethernet port.

But before you say that you are impressed, brace yourself for a poor battery that goes with it.

It seems that the big screen sucks more juice than expected while the touchscreen thing on Windows 7 comes more of a gimmick rather than a must-have feature most consumers are looking for.
