It seems that all those tipsters suggesting Apple will launch today the new iMac line, the new MacPro line, the Magic Trackpad and the new Cinema Display model were right after all. We’ve just seen the new desktops and we’re now going to show you the 27-inch LED Cinema Display that became available today, although it will only be ready to ship to your door at some point in September.

The 27-inch Cinema Display can definitely be a great primary or secondary monitor despite its premium price, $999. And this new panel could be the designated monitor for new Mac Pro customers which would bring the starting price of either of the two new desktop powerhorses to $3,498 or $4,498.

So what will the new LED Cinema Display have to offer? Well here’s a short specs and features list which will give you an idea of what’s new in this monitor and could help you decide on buying one or not:

  • 60% more screen real estate than the 24-inch LED Cinema Display
  • iSight video camera
