Coulomb's CT500 EV Ready For Your Home
So for those of you who have electric cars, you’re probably feeling pretty good about your environmentally sound choice. But by like token, you likely know how difficult it is to get that thing recharged. But Coulomb’s got a ready help for you in the midst of your trouble, and it’s the CT500 EV, ready for your home.
The Coulomb CT500 EV is a 7.2 kilowatt output station, set for Level II charging, and any plug-in electric vehicle that’s compatible with an SAE J1772 standard. It’s wall-mountable, looks pretty sweet so you won’t have a lot of people looking at the thing on your garage wall with disgust and even offers support for multiple languages and the smart grid tech you see getting rolled out in a few places. Charging times, meanwhile, vary depending on what vehicle you hook up.
There’s no word on pricing, so you have to contact one of the nine Coulomb reps in the United States in order to see about getting one of these installed (no word on what’s going on in the rest of the world), but if you’ve got an electric car, chances are you like the thought of this product very much.
