ADATA N909 Thumb Drive Coming Soon, Uses E-SATA
If you’re dissatisfied with the current pace of USB file transfer capabilities between your hard drive and a USB drive, then the folks out at ADATA have something you’ll be interested in, the ADATA N909.
It’s been a while since you heard about anything from ADATA here from us, but the N909 is going to offer something a little different from the growing bulk of USB drives out there–ESATA capability. It’s not the first to use ESATA, mind you, but it is the first to combine it with USB 2.0. This combination allows for a surprisingly fast data transfer rate, 90 mb/s for read and 50 for write, or at least that’s the word from ADATA. If you don’t have an ESATA port on your hardware then you’ll still be able to use the drive, just at lower speeds.
There’s no word on pricing yet with these, or release dates, but we do know to expect three sizes for these, so look for ADATA N909 drives in 16, 32, and 64 gig varieties.
