Dell Shows Off New Inspiron M101z Laptop
For the first half of the current decade Dell saw itself near the top of the PC manufacturer charts. However, as of late, the company has seen its sales fall a bit due to hefty competition from similar companies. Luckily, with the forthcoming release of Windows Phone 7, Dell is looking to break into new industries and create a new name for itself. However, that doesn’t mean they will be abandoning their PC manufacturing processes as it is still the core business of their company.

Dell had once been known to create somewhat unattractive pieces of hardware but they are really stepping their game up with some of their latest offerings. Today, the company has come forth to show off the Inspiron M101z laptop, pictured above.
While this computer doesn’t feature any industry changing features, it does have some hardware that is sure to interest some. For instance, Dell has given the Inspiron M101z an 11.6-inch display and a wide range of AMD Athon Neo K125 or K325 single and dual core processors. Additionally, the M101z is to feature an ATI RS880M integrated graphics processor, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. What’s even better is Dell says the 6-cell battery found within the laptop is rated at 6.5-hours so you should have no problem using this thing on the go.
While you can obviously configure the laptop with specs higher than what we listed above, the base single-core model will feature a price tag in the UK of £379 which should be right around $400 or $450 when it hits the United States.
If you’re looking for a laptop that will play today’s latest games the Dell Inspiron M101z is certainly not for you. However, if you’re looking for a nice, reasonably priced machine for normal, everyday computing duties (students, pay attention) then the M101z may be the perfect choice.
