Chinese OEM Selling Replacement BlackBerry 9800 Parts
The BlackBerry 9800 Slider is one of the more anticipated phones in the BlackBerry community. Despite a few rumors about it coming to AT&T and Rogers, the rumormill has been pretty quiet regarding the phone. But, it could be coming out very, very soon as a Chinese manufacturer has begun selling replacement parts for the phone.

TrueSupplier, a Chinese OEM manufacturer of replacement parts for BlackBerries has now begun selling full housings and faceplates for the BlackBerry 9800. You can order your replacement housings in black, white and red, some of which seem mildly attractive.
As the ’9800 is an all-new BlackBerry with the slide-down keyboard, it’s safe to assume that these parts are the real deal – and some reputable BlackBerry news sites apparently trust this Chinese site enough to report this story.
RIM is still mum to the whole BlackBerry 9800. Here are the rumored specs of the machine:
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB ROM
- 5MP Camera
- BlackBerry OS 6
- SurePress
August 15th has been rumored as a release date – but if this reputable Chinese site is pumping out replacement parts, then you have to suspect that the phone is close. Very close.
