Mozilla Shows Off New Firefox Tab Candy Feature

Mozilla's New Tab Candy Firefox Features Allows You To Keep Your Tabs Organized

When it comes to computer applcations, if you’re a frequest Internet user (and who isn’t these days) the application you use the most is undoubtedly your web browser. Be it Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer or whatever you may choose, the web browser is your portal into the Internet allowing you to check up on news, social networks, view your emails, play games and much, much more.

Seeing how there is so much to do, see and consume on the Internet, increased web browser technology is important as it lets us do all of these new things. New features added within modern web browsers allow us to do these things much easier and in a more organized fashion. Tabs, for instance, brought with them the ability to condense a plethora of web pages into one single window, increasing productivity and decreases headaches.

However, now that web browsers are so advanced there isn’t much that developers can add with forthcoming updates, or is there? Today Mozilla has come forth to show us a whole new feature they will be bringing with a new version of Firefox called Tab Candy.

If you’re a tab user, you’ll know that when you have too many tabs open, things can get quite hectic. Tabs become unorgainzed, important web pages get lost and so on and so forth. With Tab Candy, Mozilla is looking to remedy all of that.

This new feature will allow you to group your tabs in a manner where everything will be organized and you will never lose track of a tab again. Just drag and drop a tab into a folder of sorts, name it and come back to it when necessarily; it’s that simple.

You can check out the feature being demonstrated in the below video and if you want to give the feature a go for yourself, there’s an early Firefox 4.0 build that features it, here.
