Panasonic RT2B AIO TVs and Rechargeable 3D Glasses Hit Japan

Panasonic Brings 3D Entertainment to Japan With New AIO RT2DB Plasmas and Rechargeable 3D Glasses

Panasonic unveils another technology that should capture the eye of consumers (and maybe their competitors in the HDTV market as well) with the release of new all-in-one Plasma TV sets that are reportedly capable of recording TV broadcasts into their hard disks or integrated Blu-ray drives.

The Panasonic RT2B AIO Plasmas can also playback Blu-Ray movies as well and will be available in 42 and 46 inch versions but are not likely to be seen around the Pacific.

However, another item may just make their way in the form of these rechargeable Panasonic 3D glasses.

Panasonic has also revealed new rechargeable 3D glasses which make use of USB connectivity to get juiced up. Two hours of charging is good for 30 hours of use and the Panasonic TY-EW3D2SW active shutter glasses weight a light 38g.

These 3D glasses will retail for about $149.

These new Panasonic items which now provide broadened solutions for consumers seeking 3D/HD entertainment will start shipping on August 27.
