Coby NBPC1330 Visits the FCC
It looks like Coby is moving forward by dipping its hands in the netbook scene. Originally known for producing and offering audio and visual accessories, Coby may soon be offering the Coby NBPC1330 netbook which found its way into the FCC.
Among the features of this new netbook to be include a 13.3″ 1024×600 pixel LCD display, a 1.6 GHz AMD Athlon NEO processor, a 160GB HDD, 2GB of RAM, HDMI output and a 3-cell battery. And of course it will come with the usual connectivity options like WiFi b/g/n for net capability.
While this doesn’t seem to be a notebook filled with impressive features, it may just get some attention. Though unmentioned, it may very well be their base netbook meaning there could be higher spec netbooks set to come out soon.
Of course these are all speculations and while we would love to see a new netbook player in the market, Coby better come up with something more impressive than this.
No price was mentioned but with such bass specs and ancient features, this netbook shouldn’t cost you much. Remember the Coby NBPC722 netbook?

And what ever happened to the NBPC722? I was all set to buy one, since I thought it would serve as a super-PDA, but I’ve never, ever seen one for sale online or in stores. I was alerted to this article through Google alerts, which I have set up to find the 722 if anyone ever has one for sale… nothing so far.
