Xbox 360 4GB Bundle Spotted In Germany

Is German 4GB Arcade Bundle The Cheap Slim Xbox 360?

Amazon.de (the German Amazon) is now listing a 4GB Xbox 360 “System Bundle” for the low-low price of only €148.99 ($189.50). There isn’t a picture, or a lot of other information, but this is leading to speculation that this is the new $200 Arcade Xbox 360 Slim bundle that’s supposed to replace the “Old White” Arcade SKU.

What adds fuel to the fire is that this new bundle, according to the early Amazon.de listing, is set to be released on August 20th. Also happening that week, the gamescom gaming convention, which is based in Leipzig, Germany. Coincidence? Probably not.

Although 4GB is an awfully small amount of storage in today’s consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, both come with around 120GB), some are speculating that the Arcade unit itself could come with no storage, and that the 4GB itself is actually a USB flash drive. Then, the console plus flash drive is actually the bundle (no games).

We’ll see what happens around GC in Germany. Microsoft declined to comment.
