Motorola WX445 With Android Gets Leaked, Coming to Verizon
I could keep you here all day listing off all of the devices powered by Google’s Android mobile operating system but when it comes to low-end devices powered by the same OS, there is somewhat of a drought. While you can certainly find some good deals on these phones, handset manufacturers are pretty much set on finding the new thing and cramming as many features as possible into their handsets.

Lucky for you bargain hunters out there, a new low-end handset from Motorola entitled the WX445 has just been leaked which you can see above. There isn’t too much information known regarding the device but what we do know may be enough for prospective buyers to make a decision.
First of all, like mentioned above, the device is running Google’s Android (version 2.1, to be exact), additionally, it features a candy bar form factor with a touchscreen clocking in somewhere between 2.5 and 3-inches and a digital camera with a currently unknown resolution. Other than that we know it’s running Motorola’s Blur Android skin and has a 1170mAh battery so don’t expect to get too much talk time out of the WX445.
That’s about the extent of the information that is available regarding the WX445 but the tipsters who sent the device to Engadget let them know that it looks somewhat like a Palm Pre minus the keyboard, but cheaper looking. Additionally, they’ve said it’s “not a very impressive phone” so if you’re looking to replace your HTC EVO 4G with this, it’s probably not going to happen.
There’s no telling how much it will cost but considering its lackluster specs, we could see this going for little to none with a 2-year contract on Verizon. However, until Motorola or Verizon actually comes forth to announce the official specs, price and release date, everything we have from here on out is just speculation.
