First 21Mbps HSDPA+ Device Coming From T-Mobile, HTC In September

T-Mobile Rumored To Launch First Android Powered, HTC Developed HSDPA+ Device This September

Assuming most of you have broadband Internet connections, what do you typically use these high speed connections for? Perhaps download/streaming movies, checking email, uploading pictures to your Facebook or reading up on your favorite gadgets? Well, everything is all fine and dandy thanks to the readily available lightning fast broadband connections but just 10 years ago, a 56k connection was considered high speed. What’s even worse to think about is that a frighteningly large number of people are still using the snails-paced Internet connection. Yikes.

Anyways, without fast Internet connections the things we generally use the Internet for would be virtually impossible. Just imagine waiting even 3 minutes for a 5+ minute YouTube video to load – you would most likely be pulling your hair out before the buffering was half way complete. Facebook would be cumbersome to use, Twitter would be semi-real-time instead of real-time and all of the high resolution graphics we see all over the place would be dumbed down to pixelated messes.

Lucky for us, not only are we able to use these high speed broadband Internet connections in our homes but thanks to wireless broadband technology like 3G and 4G the transfer rates that we receive while roaming the world are quickly approaching what we’d get from our home office.

If you haven’t already learned from all of the marketing Sprint has thrown behind the HTC EVO 4G, 4G mobile broadband speeds are curently the fastest available on the marekt today. However, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that back in March we told you about HSDPA+, a new service from T-Mobile that will give Sprint’s 4G network a run for its money with theoretical download speeds as high as 21Mbps.

At the time you were probably rolling your eyes thinking you would be old and decrepit before you ever saw an HSDPA+ powered device on North American soil but it seems like that may be much sooner than any of us could have anticipated.

According to reports, T-Mobile will be launching an HTC developed, Android powered device sometime in September that will run on their HSDPA+ network. There’s no official way to tell waht the device will be but our sources have a hunch it will be the HTC Vision that’s been leaked ever so often.

What so you folk? Are you ready for HSDPA+ or is 3G good enough for you?
