Samsung Intercept Shows Up For Pre-Order On Sprint's EVP Site
Another day and another bit of unconfirmed information on the Samsung Intercept. If nothing else, I cannot help but think this is a lot of leaks for what is expected to be a mid-range offering. If anything I would have assumed people would be focussing on the Epic 4G as of now. That said, this latest bit on the Intercept includes a pre-order listing that adds reason to believe that July 11th will be the launch date. That and, a price.

First things first, this has yet to be confirmed by Sprint. In other words, it seems legit, but until we have an official announcement things can still change.
With that out of the way, it looks like the Samsung Intercept (in Pink and Silver) has been listed for pre-order on a EVP site. For those unfamiliar (like myself), EVP stands for Employee Value Program and its a place where a business can offer discounts for employees.
In short, the listing confirms the basic specs such as how the device is touchscreen, has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording and microSD card slot. But the more interesting part is the price — $99.99. Of course, that comes with a contract of two years. Then again, it also comes after a mail-in-rebate. According to the listing the Intercept is going to be priced at $349.99. Then those willing to sign the agreement will get a $150 discount bringing the price down to $199.99. And then a $100 mail-in-rebate giving the final price of $99.99.
In the end this does not confirm a July 11th launch, but at the same time it gives one reason to believe that it could be accurate. If nothing else, we would assume that is what the price will be when the Intercept makes an official appearance on the Sprint website.
