Droid X by Motorola Verizon Official Video Review Now Available
We were actually waiting for this particular video review/presentation to come along and Verizon didn’t disappoint. Entitled “Droid X by Motorola”, this just-over 4-minute video review has been uploaded to Verizon’s YouTube channel and it’s meant to show us all the hot specs and features of the Motorola Droid X.

You’d think the video starts by explaining the name of the device but what Blake, Verizon’s designated Droid X presenter, tells us is that the X is a great phone:
“The X is for users who need all of the normal web browsing and messaging features you expect from a smartphone but who also need amazing high-definition video playback and capture features.”
Verizon then emphasizes some of the Droid X’ specs and features, which you already know but wouldn’t hurt to look at them again from Big Red’s perspective:
- 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen display,
- Android 2.1 out of the box (Froyo only later),
- 1GHz processor,
- 8GB of internal memory,
- pre-installed 16GB microSD card,
- mobile hotspot for up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices,
- HD video playing and HD 720p video recording capabilities,
- three microphones that can be independently used for capturing great videos,
- 8-megapixel camera with dedicated mechanical button,
- dual LED flash, autofocus,
- panoramic view,
- HDMI out,
- photo sharing support (Facebook, Picasa and Photobucket),
- lots of widgets and apps from the Android market, including the new Blockbuster app for the Droid X,
- built-in FM radio,
- HTML 5-based browser,
- push email, Gmail, Exchange and Yahoo,
- Facebook, Myspace and Twitter integration,
- lots of syncing support (Contacts, Gmail and Calendar).
- Speech-to-Text functionality,
- Swype integration
Not bad there Motorola, the Droid X will definitely be one of the hot players of the year in the mobile business.

That’s how Blake ends his video review of the phone, and boy the phone does look impressive, but then again, we expect Verizon to make it look great.
