New Samsung Galaxy S2 Gets Spied, Samsung Galaxy S Already Forgotten

If you thought the Samsung Galaxy S was an impressing Android smartphone then you’ll want to forget all about it once you hear what the new Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 is all about.

The new phone is scheduled to arrive at some point in 2011 so you won’t really have that much time to get used to the Galaxy S as you’ll surely want to make the upgrade to the Galaxy S2 once it becomes available in stores.

There’s no way of confirming any of this just yet but our interest has been certainly piqued. The new Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 seems to be a real iPhone 4 competitor and, from the looks of it, the new Galaxy version will be the hottest Android phone in town. Here’s a list of specs and features for the Galaxy S2 I9200:

• 1,280 x 720 resolution, 340 pixels per inch
• 2GHz processor
• 1GB of RAM
• 4GB of ROM
• 32GB flash storage

• 8-megapixel camera
• 720p and 1080p full HD video recording

• Bluetooth 3.0
• AGPS
• Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors
• Android 3.0 Gingerbread.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 sounds a lot better than anything we could have expected, at least so far and points us in the right direction when it comes to the future of Android. There’s no way to confirm all of the above at this point but we can assume that most Android smartphone manufacturers will have similar devices at some point in 2011. Not to mention that such Android devices will certainly raise the bar when it comes to smartphone specs and features and the competition, iPhone 4G in particular but also future Symbian^3, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 smartphones will have to come up with similar offers.
