The Google Nexus One Launches in Australia

Vodafone Hutchinson Officially Launches the Google Nexus One for Free With a Contract

Australian mobile users now have something to cheer about. Vodafone Hutchinson has officially released the Google Nexus One in Australia, offering the controversial Google handset for free with a 24 month contract at $79.

This means that the Aussies who have been hearing a lot about the Google Nexus One (good and bad) now take a crack at the much heralded Google phone despite new Android handsets already offered in the market.

Vodafone Hutchinson of Australia has restructured the data plans to allow Aussie customers more data than before. One thing here is that there was no mention if the said Google Nexus One hitting Australian soil would still carry the Android 2.1 or already the updated 2.2.

Regardless, the update or shift to the Android 2.2 will surely be around soon, a trend we are seeing in the market today. So for the meantime, the Aussie consumers can tinker around and see what the Google Nexus One has to offer…hands on!
