Apple Rumor De Jour: Apple Stores To Open Early July 7th For Second iPhone 4 Launch

Maybe we can attribute this latest story to the slow news day that we seem to be having today, but then again Apple rumors seem to show up regardless of the day. That said, we have one more to bring you today.

According to the chatter on the interwebs, Apple may be planning to open their retail stores early on July 7th. Basically the word is that they will be opening up at 8am, and you know what an early opening at Apple means — a product launch. Well, in general they do, but I would guess that is not a hard rule.

Either way, the stores are said to be opening at 8am on July 7th for — a launch of the iPhone 4. Or more accurately a second launch of the iPhone 4. Though its worth mentioning that the word “launch” seems to be a little shady in that respect. After all the iPhone 4 has already been available and given all of the issues we have heard about that is not a mystery.

Otherwise, the rumor also suggests that the Apple retail stores have not been receiving any large or regular shipments of the iPhone 4 because they are being held for the 7th. So I guess anyone that has been on the priority list with Apple will now begin to revolt. Of course, at the same time you could also rejoice because that could mean you will have your iPhone on the 7th.

Honestly, this is one rumor that I am not sure I can believe. Or here is what I would like to think will happen. Maybe Apple was able to get ahead of their plans on the white iPhone 4 and will have it ready on the 7th as opposed to the second half of July timeframe that they promised earlier. Well, that and everyone on the priority list will get what they have been waiting for. Hey, you want everyone to be happy. Right?
