Everything Everywhere (Orange & T-Mobile UK) Now Official
We did warn you before, Orange UK and T-Mobile UK customers, your beloved mobile operators will be joined in holy matrimony starting officially with July 1. The two companies’ merger will be official in the UK starting today without affecting your day-to-day mobile business.

That’s a weird combo right there. The German T-Mobile giant decided to merge with its French Orange counterpart on British soil. And they call themselves Everything Everywhere which is really a silly name. It doesn’t offer you everything, does it? And it’s not available everywhere since it’s just an UK-based company.
Of course they’ll say they can offer Everything in terms of mobile devices and mobile services and they will have it ready for you Everywhere in the UK. What’s important here is that the new company has become the number one carrier in the UK and will be a serious adversary to Vodafone, O2 and Three.
Regular T-Mobile and Orange customers will not spot the change immediately as they will continue to pay their same T-Mobile or Orange pre- or post-paid plans and they will buy their favorite phones from the same local T-Mobile and Orange shops.
Everything Everywhere is the new mothership but they will not change the Orange and T-Mobile brands, and it will be a mistake to do so since these company names alone are very well known in Europe and in the UK.
In case you’re working for either T-Mobile or Orange then you’ll have to know that your position is pretty secure. The official press release says that “there are no other role or structural changes for the company’s 16,500 staff” and by
“other” they refer to the new team of directors that will govern the newly formed institution. And of course, there will be some Everything Everywhere branding, but nothing that would affect your day-to-day job.
