Facebook Opening Shop in India
Facebook is going places and its next stop is in India. Aching to hold shop in Asia, Facebook has reportedly gotten the nod of the State Information Technology and Communications Department in India to open their very first office in Hyderabad, India.
The new office which will be up in two months, will house 500 employees where operations will be tasked to provide support for multilingual users for the millions of Facebook users around the globe.
Facebook’s entry to India makes it the fourth office they have setup, following offices that were earlier setup in California, Ireland and Texas. As Facebook continues to grow in subscribers as well as offer various innovations to the social networking needs, the new India-based office should be something beneficial and potentially offers new jobs to locals in the region.
Located at the Raheja Mindspace special economic zone, the new office should be another welcome branch for Indian natives which will become official in two months time.
