Cisco Unveils the Cius Android Tablet
Shifting a bit to the business scene, everyone knows how important data access and data dissemination is during operations. And while this Android Tablet called Cius from Cisco may not necessarily be available to consumers, businesses are the main target, especially the ones applying modern business communications for their operations.
Cisco offers an HD 7″ Android tablet that comes with video conference capabilities. This includes email and media access which are scheduled to be officially released by 2011. The Cisco Cius Android Tablet will be part of a communications package that the company will offer to their business partners.
Among the key features of the Cius Tablet include a 7″ diagonal high resolution color display, an HD Soundstation, Bluetooth support, USB support, 10/100/1000 wired connectivity and a handset option and an 8 hour battery.
There is no word on how much Cisco plans to charge for the addition of the Cius Android Tablet so we are just going to have to wait for 2011 to find out. This is unless something untoward would happen like delays of its scheduled launch.

Perhaps the Cius was the reason Cisco’s stock price dropped -3.57% today.
Also simultaneously today, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission revealed in a Form 8-K filing that Cisco insiders – Randy Pond, Mark Chandler and Larry Carter were planning to sell 1,575,266 shares of Cisco stock (currently valued at $34 million).
Sincerely,
