Samsung Intercept Gets Pictured, Still Expected To Arrive With Sprint On July 11th
A few images of the Samsung Intercept have recently been leaked online. And for those not as familiar with the Intercept, (after all this is not quite the Galaxy S that we have been raving about as of late) it is going to service as a kind-of sort-of upgrade to the currently available Samsung Moment, which is the SPH-M900. In fact some have referred to the Intercept as the Moment 2. Of course, in reality what we have is the Samsung SPH-M910 Intercept.

That said, the Samsung Intercept looks like it will be a nice offering. The handset will come sporting a 3.2 inch touchscreen display and a 4 row slide out QWERTY keyboard. Otherwise, the images have revealed that the Intercept will be available in black/black and also pink/grey. Aside from what we can see in the images, its also expected to ship with Android 2.1 (Eclair), the TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and microSD card slot.
With that, the current rumored release date is going to be July 11th, though we are hoping to learn a little more after the Samsung event that is going to kick off later this evening. Granted, that is officially dubbed as a Galaxy S event, but maybe they will show off something else.

Something to look out for, hopefully we will see an upgraded camera as the current Moment SPH-M900 has a 3.2 megapixel. But in the end this is coming shortly before the availability of all of the Galaxy S branded handsets and that means some may notice the differences between the two devices. It also means we likely cannot expect all that much in terms of upgrades to the current SPH-M900 because then they would tread into the higher-end category. Ultimately that means the Intercept will likely be a mid-range offering and hopefully it will be priced accordingly.
