iPhone 4 Available in AT&T Stores Starting Today [AT&T Starts to Officially Sell the New iPhone 4 in Stores Today]

One of the disappointments of June 24, at least for those iPhone 4 customers that wanted to walk in an AT&T store and get the new device, was the unavailability of the phone for such clients.

AT&T was unable to offer iPhone 4 units to walk-in customers as it had way too many pre-orders to fulfill on day one. We will partly blame it all on its faulty online store that messed up some orders but the impressive demand for the iPhone is also a factor that has to be considered.

Apple made sure everyone and their grandmother knows that the new iPhone 4G sold in 1.7 million units in three days, and they’ll probably hit that 2 million mark real soon.

What’s very interesting is that despite the new iPhone 4’s flaws, and we have found quite a few of them already thanks to various customers reports that hit the web since the official June 24 launch, the demand is still high. Even if the iPhone 4 can break and scratch a lot easier than expected, even if its reception issues could lead to a class action suit, even if the handset is reported to overheat in some cases and even if some units sport silly mistakes like inverted volume buttons, the iPhone 4 is still a great phone which people seem to appreciate.

We’re expecting plenty of lines in front of some AT&T stores and we might also experience some iPhone shortages in the following days. According to recent reports it looks like early iPhone customers are lining up in front of AT&T stores today, five day after the actual launch so it would be a good idea to head down to your AT&T local shop to check things out as fast as possible.

If you care to wait some more for your iPhone 4 to arrive then you can also order the device online again as AT&T is taking online orders again.

What about you, European readers, have you been able to get the iPhone 4 yet?
