Samsung N230 Netbook Gets Official Specs, Will Be Available June 28th [Samsung N230 Netbook Comes Touting Intel Atom N450 CPU, 13.8 Hours Of Battery Life & Is Fun To Hold While Blowing Bubbles In The Park]

Samsung may have officially unveiled their N230 netbook last week, however it seems as if they finally decided to offer up a full spec list and availability date as of today. Oh, and they also threw in some official images — some of which are rather entertaining to look at. Lets get the release date out of the way, its today, as in June 28th. Though, as of now I have not yet been able to spot it online at any of the usual suspects — namely Amazon and Newegg.

Otherwise, lets get into the specs. The N230 netbook comes equipped with a 10.1 inch anti-reflective LED display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Windows 7 Starter and chiclet style keyboard.

Additionally, you will also have options for either a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 or 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor. Plus the standard items such as a 0.3 megapixel webcam, VGA and USB ports are also included. In terms of size and weight, (which look to be important judging from how these press images show the N230 being handled) include a thickness of 0.91 inches and a weight of about 2.2 pounds.

Moving on to battery life and this is where it could really shine. Well, assuming two things — one being these claims are accurate for real-world use and two being you have the optional long-life battery. And just to give an idea, the optional long-life battery is a 66Wh battery that is said to give up to 13.8 hours. And the standard is still decent coming in at up to 7 hours.

Of course, its hard not to mention the press shots, which clearly show that the N230 netbook is a good option to take with you when shopping and when sitting in the park blowing bubbles. Plus you always want to try and shove it in a pocket that clearly looks smaller than the netbook itself. Granted I do poke fun at the images, but the netbook itself looks like a decent offering.
