Huawei Android 2.2 Handset To Launch In August
We heard about Huawei product last week, but since that was tablet news, it’s safe to slide into a new bit about them, their upcoming smartphone.
It’s going to hit markets this August, and when it does, it’ll bring along a highly prized OS with it–the new Huawei will street with Android 2.2. This is actually a pretty big surprise; most smartphones packing Android are working with slightly older versions, and by some reports, only the Nexus One direct from Google itself is currently packing Android 2.2.
The Huawei smartphone is slated to be entry level in design, with a 2.8 inch touchscreen (capacitive as opposed to reactive), a 3.2 megapixel camera, and? HSDPA 3G connectivity. Still though, the biggest news here is the addition of Android 2.2, which is relatively new, especially on a phone described as entry level. Will that be enough to keep interest in a relative unknown (especially compared to the Google Nexus One)? Only time will tell.
