HP Envy 14 Series Notebook Now Available, Priced From $1,099.99
HP originally announced the ENVY 14 Series notebook lineup back in early May and given its been nearly three full months, a reminder of availability may be in order. That said — the HP ENVY 14 Series is now available for purchase.

Of course, HP did a fairly thorough job of detailing the specs and pricing at the time. Still, like I mentioned, its been a while. Given that, those who make the purchase can expect to find goodies such as a 14.5 inch display with 1600 x 900 resolution, 2.40GHz Intel Core i3-370M processor, 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics, slot-loading DVD burner, backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and 8-cell lithium-ion battery.
The HP ENVY 14 also comes touting Beats Audio sound as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, HDMI, mini-display port, three USB 2.0 ports and a 2-in-1 memory card reader. Additional specs include a 1.1 inch thickness, weight of 5.25 pounds and the 64-bit edition of Windows 7 Home Premium.
There are also options to add in some extras such as a Core i5 or i7 processor. As for upgrade pricing, you can max out the processor with a 1.86GHz Intel Core i7-840QM for an extra $625 and the RAM at 8GB for and extra $200. That said, the base model seems like it will be sufficient for most users. Though a more reasonable upgrade comes in form of storage, you can go from 320GB up to 500GB for just $40.
One other upgrade worth mentioning comes in the form of 3G, in this case HP Mobile Broadband which is priced at $125 with service options available from Verizon, AT&T or Sprint. And then there would be the monthly cost for the service, expect to pay about $60 for 5GB of data.
Finally, as of now the HP website is showing an estimated build date of July 8th for the ENVY 14.
