Apple iPhone 4: 1.7 Million iPhone 4's Sold In 3 Days
Its the first Monday morning since the iPhone was released and what better way to kick off the day than with some iPhone 4 sales numbers. Yup, it seems as if Apple has followed recent patterns and offered up some official numbers by way of a press release. And honestly, with news like this it would be harder to understand why they would not want to share.

“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
That said, the iPhone 4 has sold 1.7 million units. Of course, we had already known about 600,000 of those that were sold during the pre-sale portion, but adding an additional 1.1 million is pretty impressive.
And that may not be as high as where the number should be even at this point come Monday morning. After all, those figures take into the iPhone 4′s that were sold on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Which means Sunday is still unaccounted for. Not to mention, those people who still want one and cannot find one as of yet. Remember, the black iPhone 4 is hard to find and we have not even seen the release of the white iPhone 4 as of yet.
In addition to the bragging sales numbers, Steve Jobs also took the opportunity to offer a little apology in terms of those who could not get an iPhone yet.
“Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”
Wow, 1.7 million in 3 days. I wonder how much longer till we hit 2 and even 3 million. Of course, once the black model comes back in stock and the white model is available that overall number should grow rather quickly. Still, we cannot forget that some countries are still waiting for the launch. According to the details in the press release, 18 additional countries including Australia, Austria,Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore,South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland will get their chance to become part of the sales statistics by the end of July.
