New LG Optimus Q Android Phone
The LG Optimus Q was recently launched in South Korea. It looks to be a powerful Android phone. If it had launched in the United States, you’d expect there would be quite a bit of fanfare for another 1Ghz Snapdragon Android phone, but instead, it’s quietly launched in South Korea. This phone is the rumored LG Aloha that we’ve occasionally heard about.

Don’t judge it by it’s looks, it’s actually a powerful Android device. Here are her stats:
- Qualcomm 1GHz processor
- 3.5-inch OLED screen
- 3GB memory internal with microSD slot
- FM, DMB TV (mobile TV)
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording
- Android 2.1
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
Is this apart of a bigger plan? The rumored LG Aloha (which we believe this phone to be), was supposed to be coming to the United States. LG’s heated rival, Samsung, has got big plans to become the #3 smartphone manufacturer in North America. LG already has a good business making featurephones in the United States – but can they expand to the smartphone market? (Nokia’s tried, and failed so far to do so).
Does this phone look good to you? Would you buy it if it came to your home carrier?
