Fujifilm FinePix XP10 Released, Reviewed
Fujifilm’s newest all-action waterproof rugged digital camera has just hit the market. The Fujifilm FinePix XP10 is a rather… unique design as it’s rather short and blunt, but comes in several colors and according to a review from PhotographyBlog.com, it can withstand quite a beating.

Mark Goldstein, in his review of the FinePix XP10 for PhotographyBlog, put it through all the paces – including leaving it overnight in a freezer, burying it in sand and plunging it under cold water. The FinePix XP10 worked perfectly according to PhotographyBlog, and it didn’t even get any sand in the lens, which Mr. Goldstein says is an issue with some cheaper cameras.
Overall, it’s a tough camera. Fuji says it can go 10 feet underwater, survive a 3 foot drop and withstand freezing to 14 degrees. Technically, it’s packing a 12-megapixel sensor, 2.7-inch LCD screen, 5x optical zoom and reinforced lens barrier. It’s also capable of 720p HD video and can auto upload your videos to Facebook and YouTube.
Overall, they were pretty impressed with the new rough and tough Fujifilm camera and gave it four out of four stars. The camera is now out, and should be out from a retailer near you soon. The camera’s MSRP is set at £169.99 / $199.95

Took the Fuji XP10 out twice; once camping at Lake Tahoe and again at Kern River. The Fuji functioned well on the first outting, but started developing problems on the latter camping trip: moisture started developing in the lens area, causing photos to appear foggy. The display became disrupted, as the moisture that permeated the camera began to make it’s way through the housing.
