iPhone 4 FaceTime Conversation with Apple Employees Demoed [Muppet Shows iPhone 4 Owners How a FaceTime Conversation Goes On; Apple Employee Doesn’t Mind Talking to a Toy]
As you already know Apple has set up a special number for all you iPhone 4 customers that don’t have any iPhone 4 friends to have FaceTime conversations with. All you have to do is dial 1-888-FACETIME and an Apple customer representative will be right with you.

Some went ahead and assumed that this is the future of customer care calls to Apple but it will take a while until FaceTime calls will be available to other devices. Currently just the new iPhone supports the new feature and you’ll have to wait until your friends and family buy the same device to enjoy proper video calls.
In the mean time you can always dial the number above and have an Apple employee answer to your FaceTime request, whether you’re a human, or a Muppet.
That’s right, the video below will show you exactly what I mean. A green puppet calls the Apple FaceTime number and an employee eager to tell you how it all works answers the phone. He doesn’t seem troubled by the fact that a fuzzy, green puppet is on the other side of the call and the conversation itself is pretty funny.
Not only do we find out how to rotate the camera and how to switch between the two available cameras of the iPhone 4 but we also hear the Apple employee is working from a beach which is definitely an interesting approach to customer care.
Probably this is a first in Apple care service, a Muppet inquiring about the features of a certain device, but it can definitely be turned into a great viral video.
If you want to know more about FaceTime, we have covered the feature extensively here on TFTS, and, although we might not like the fact that it’s limited to iPhone 4 devices for now, this video chat solution certainly has a great potential especially if other devices are going to get it soon.
