While we here in the US are still awaiting the release of a Samsung Galaxy S, there are other areas of the world that are more fortunate in terms of the availability. And one of the latest deals to come available is by way of Virgin Mobile UK.

Yup, the Samsung Galaxy S is now available with Virgin Mobile UK, and to sweeten that up a little bit — its available for free. Those interested can pick up Galaxy S as of now and pay anywhere from nothing up to £249.99 depending on the monthly tariff you choose.

I think most people would probably prefer to pay nothing up front, so lets begin with that one. You can opt for the Virgin £30 + Unlimited web access or Virgin £35 + Unlimited web access plans and pay nothing for the phone. In either case you will get 3000 unlimited texts and 1GB of unlimited data. As for minutes, these plans include 800 or 1000 respectively. And yes, I meant to type out 3000 unlimited texts and 1GB of unlimited data, because while these are listed as unlimited that are also subject to fair use policy and if you click on the fine print you find out that;

“Unlimited texts are subject to a fair use allowance of 3000 texts per month.”

and

“Unlimited mobile internet is subject to a fair use allowance of 1GB per month”

Otherwise, if you are looking to pay a little less on a monthly basis and more upfront you can opt for the Virgin £25 + Unlimited web access or Virgin £20 + Unlimited web access plans which will come with a handset price of £199.99 or £249.99 respectively. As for what each of those plans includes, the same unlimited texts and unlimited data as well as 600 minutes for £25 and 200 minutes for £20.

In addition each plans is also noted as coming with three free months of phone insurance as well as up to £100 free airtime for trading in your old phone.
