HTC Vision / Project Emerald Android 3.0 Phone Coming to T-Mobile Later This Year? [T-Mobile HTC Vision to Feature 4.3-Inch Display, Dual-Core Processor & Android 3.0]
Just yesterday while asking where the Google Nexus Two Android smartphone is, I was telling you how there always seems to be a hotter Android device just around the corner. We have just seen the Motorola Droid X get official and now we’re going to be waiting for the Droid 2 to appear.

And since we already know so many unofficial things about the Droid 2 we’ll definitely be more interested in a totally new Android device. But guess what? The first rumors concerning a hot HTC device have surfaced and now we have some more details about this, new, unconfirmed Android-running device.
The HTC Vision is the phone in question and from what we hear so far it’s going to be a terrific device. People say the Vision is actually T-Mobile’s Project Emerald (remember Project Emerald which we spotted back in May?) but nothing is confirmed right now.
The HTC Vision will come with some more than interesting specs and features: 4.3-inch touchscreen display, an 800MHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, probably with HD video recording and Android 3.0 in the background.
It all sounds a little too good to be true but it looks like these details come straight from an HTC representative. However, the Vision doesn’t sound anything like what we thought Project Emerald would be. Back in May we told you how a new Sidekick-like device is going to be available in T-Mobile stores at some point in the future. The device in question was expected to arrive with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, front-facing camera, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 16GB of onboard memory, a QWERTY keyboard and Android 2.1 running in the background.
We’ll continue to pursue this HTC Vision rumor and see where it leads us but in the mean time don’t get your hopes up. The Vision might not become real anytime soon! And is Gingerbread (Android 3.0) even going to be available on smartphones this year?
